Woohoo, it’s Friday! I have an awesome outfit on today because I’m going to one of my best friend’s birthday dinner tonight! I love this skirt, and I’m excited because it didn’t zip up completely when I just got it, and now it fits comfortably! Yay for weight loss progress. I don’t know if I’ve talked about my weight loss goals at all on the blog yet, but I gained quite a bit of weight last spring and during my summer in Germany (hello, beer and pretzel diet.) It was well worth it while I was there, but I was conscious that something was going to have to change when I returned to the States. I’ve been eating (mostly) gluten-free and Paleo for a month or two now, and it’s paying off. I have a pretty big goal; I want to get back down to around the weight it states on my driver’s license, which I haven’t even been close to since sophomore year of high school. I’m down 8 pounds from my just-back-from-Germany weight already!
On a different note, I also now officially know that it’s fall because I wore these socks yesterday:
Saturday update: I got to see puppies yesterday! My really good family friends have a breeder dog for Canine Companions for Independence, the sister organization of Guide Dogs for the Blind. These puppies will hopefully become helper dogs for all kinds of people! They are beyond cute and so fun to play with.
Ben and I went to the birthday dinner and had amazing sushi, fun drinks, and had a great time! Old friends are the best 🙂
Today we have all sorts of plans to make sauerkraut and play tennis and other ambitious weekend things. I will take pictures of these endeavors when they’re accomplished.
Sunday update: I did actually play tennis yesterday!
