Henry Hotspur’s Hard Pressed for Cider from Trader Joe’s. I found it in the cold section of the Napa TJ’s this weekend and it was delicious! Very apple-y and tart, and not too strong. Perfect for a picnic or a relaxing evening at home, as I’m having tonight!
The Silence of the Lambs is a fabulous movie that I’ve been wanting to rewatch for a few weeks. I had time to watch it tonight, so I am! One thing I’ve noticed this time around is the way scene shifts are handled. Some of them are very choppy and sudden, which adds to the uneasy and unpredictable feelings that this movie gives its audience. I also remembered how I so admire (at a distance and in a non-creepy way) Hannibal Lecter. He’s so intuitive and disturbing! I love it. Eww, now he’s eating the prison guard’s face! I don’t really love Hannibal, I take it all back. Still a great movie though.
Succulents! I love plants, and I especially love having them around the house. This adorable little succulent-garden-in-one-pot came from Trader Joe’s (of course). It’s living in my miniature greenhouse in the kitchen now, and I’m going to try my very best not to kill it. The tiny pink flower is an added bonus.
My new Mark Twain candle. The scent is tobacco flower and vanilla which sounds like it could be weird but smells like a delicious, woody baked good. It smells like I imagine Mark Twain’s house smelled when he was writing, so I’ve decided that it’s aptly named. I really enjoy that the quote featured quote is “never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow” because it’s one of my dad’s very favorite sarcastic things to say. This candle is great and I wish I had bought the Jane Austen one as well.
Christmas present shopping! I found something awesome that I knew I should get my mom for Christmas last week and it arrived today! I know that Christmas is over a month away, but I like to be prepared, and god knows I love to shop. I’m also excited because we’re figuring out my apartment’s Secret Santa assignments this weekend!
Hope you all are having a great week!
